Position Purpose

In this position, you will be the first point of contact for patients as they come into our facility. Your primary responsibilities include administrative tasks such as collecting medical information and ensuring that all medical equipment is available and in the appropriate room awaiting arrival of the admission. However, since you are a licensed nurse, you may be required to provide direct patient care. While you will be working with a team of other medical professionals, you may administer medicine or take vitals when necessary. You will also be responsible for educating and examining patients for potential issues. 

Responsibilities

• Obtain medical history from patients upon admission.
• Require patients to fill out the proper paperwork. 
• Coordinate with physicians to provide comprehensive patient care. 
• Educate Patients on treatment and recovery. 
• Not inclusive, other managerial duties will be assigned as time allows. 

Requirements and Qualifications 

• LPN / RN license that is in good standing with the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
• Familiarity with post-op procedures.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations. 
• On-Call rotation.
